Blogust Days one and two

Day's one question was:

Why do you write?

I write because the characters in my head won't shut up, lol. They normally like to talk to me right before I go to sleep. If I were smart, on those nights I'd hop out of bed and write down what they are saying, but do I? Nope! One of these days I'll learn...or so I keep telling myself. :

Todays question is:
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I have always hated that question and in my 20s it made me freeze on every interview I had. I'm sure it cost me many a job! :)  I'm so glad most companies I've been interviewing with lately have stopped asking that ridc. question. or maybe I just look older now & they aren't as concerned about me leaving. Anyways, in 10 years I'd like to see myself:

Owning a house of some kind
In a relationship (yes, much to the dismay of my mom I'm still single.)
Having written a least a couple of books. I don't care if they actually sell or not, I just want to write them. :)

  1. I hated that 10 year question, too. I put it on there only because 10 years ago, I never saw myself where I am now. Not at all. This way it'll give me something to look back on in 10 years and I can say "Funny how time changes things!" ;)

    1. You know that is true...10 years ago if you had asked me I'd be doing what I am now I would not have believed you!!

  2. Yay personal blog!

I find this question a little depressing, especially considering, as you said, what my reaction would have been ten years ago if you'd told me where I'd be at today. =/

  3. The 10 year question makes me freeze too. Heck even the where do you see yourself in 5 years does as well. How am I supposed to know where the winds will take me?

  4. I'm another one who hated that 10 year question. Life has totally not taken the path I thought it would. I'd like to say I will be in a bigger house, my husband has a better job, and I have some published books under my belt in ten years, but who knows what's going to happen.
